Top AIs for Law Firms

Although AI is a relatively new concept, there are new AIs popping up left and right. For many attorneys, AI for law firms can be perceived as a threat, but it shouldn’t be, at least not all AIs. There are some AIs that can be very beneficial for law firms and increase day-to-day efficiency when used properly. We’ll share our favorite AIs for law firms, weigh out the pros and cons, and discuss how your law firm can benefit from each platform.

If you’ve heard of any AI tool, you’ve probably heard of ChatGPT and for good reason. This is probably one of my favorite AIs out there. ChatGPT is set up to accomplish a wide range of tasks, which makes this easy to use and very beneficial for users.

  • Can accomplish a wide variety of tasks including:
    • Answering questions
    • Generating text copy
    • Translating languages
    • Generating conversations
    • Summarizing written copy
    • Generating code
    • Content development
  • Speeds up content development
  • Easy to manipulate and use

  • Large language model that can take time to learn how to manipulate
  • At the time of writing this, it is only able to retrieve data from prior to 2021
  • Not always 100% accurate

How you can use ChatGPT to benefit your law firm:

  • From concept to creation ChatGPT can help you develop a title for your blog or FAQ topic and then proceed to help you fully write out the page. Additionally you can use ChatGPT to help you with any written content you may need to create, whether it’s a simple email or web page. Just be sure to proof and ensure the information is accurate, up to date, and makes sense.
  • The platform can be used to help conduct research.
  • Rewrite content you already have to make it multi-purpose.
  • Develop ideas for social media content with captions.

This is one of the first AI platforms I ever tried out and while it was good, it was no match for ChatGPT. Jasper is primarily intended for content development, while ChatGPT is meant for a wide variety of tasks. Additionally, Jasper requires more heavy lifting than ChatGPT in my opinion.

  • Content generation can be easy with their blog builder. You can plug in keywords and it will help you create a title, include keywords, and even get you started on your blog piece.
  • Helps you get through writer’s block
  • Copy translation into other languages
  • Produces plagiarism free content.

  • Isn’t human.
  • Output can be repetitive, doesn’t always make sense, and usually needs additional editing.

How you can use Jasper to benefit your law firm:

  • Technical Writing: Jasper can help you write technical pieces for your website like web pages, blogs, FAQs, and any other technical copy you might need.
